What we collect

Email address and the market you chose, when you ask for Market Updates.

Account data (email address, name if you provide one, password handled by our authentication provider) when you create an account.

Subscription data (plan, billing period, payment status, customer and subscription identifiers) when you buy a membership. We never see or store your card details.

Technical data needed to serve the site securely, such as IP address and browser type, kept in server logs.

A one-way hash of your network address when you submit the sign-up form, used only to limit repeated submissions from the same connection. The address itself is never stored, and the hash is not used to identify you.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To send the Market Updates you asked for, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

To provide your account and membership, and to handle billing, on the basis of performing our contract with you.

To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet our accounting obligations, on the basis of our legitimate interest and legal obligations.

How long we keep it

Email addresses collected for Market Updates: until you unsubscribe, and then up to 12 months to prove the opt-in existed.

Account and subscription data: for as long as your account exists, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires (currently seven years for invoices).

Who processes data for us

Our hosting, database and authentication platform, which stores account and subscriber data.

Our mailing-list provider, which stores subscribers and the market they chose, and from which the Market Updates are sent.

Our payment provider, which processes payments and holds the card data we never receive.

Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area by these providers, in that case under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and measurement

We use only the cookies and local storage strictly needed to keep you signed in and to remember your interface choices. We do not run advertising trackers. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and you can refuse without losing access to the site.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy in portable form, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; every email contains an unsubscribe link.

Write to info@whichstockstobuy.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence.
